STANDARD PROCESS SERIES
These inks are the result of over two years research and development work. Sahara Classicure PS series are suitable for use on most makes of waterless ready presses. They can be printed on most substrates, including coated and uncoated papers and boards. They are a tried and tested formulation, available from stock.
They are suitable for printing the non-contact side of food packaging, where there is a suitable migration barrier between the printed package and the food.
It must be remembered that the final measurement of migration compliance is the responsibility of the printer in line with recognised converters’ good manufacturing practices. We are not currently able to supply a Low Migration Certificate for any of our Sahara or Nevada Classicure inks.

ANILOX INKING SYSTEMS
Our standard process inks can be used on all types of anilox inking presses. However, in conjunction with KBA we have developed a special set for the Rapida 74G machine. These inks are designed to print at the solid densities specified by KBA at a mid range anilox temperature.

CD/DVD PRINTING
Our Sahara Classicure PS Process set can be used to print optical media, CD’s/DVD’s. For Kammann machines we recommend our ND series, starting with a chamber temperature of 15-17c. If there is no toning and the blankets stay clean outside the disc area, the temperature can be increased to a higher level. For Hanky and Guann Yinn type presses we recommend our Sahara PS series. The plate bed temperature should be set at 21-23c. Circumstances can occur on certain press designs where our Sahara Classicure PS inks leak (drip) from the ink ducts, particularly when the press is in crawl, or idle. Our Sahara Classicure ND (Non Drip) series are a tried and tested solution to this problem.

FOIL BLOCKING/STAMPING
Special wax free inks are normally required. This series is specially formulated for Semi Rotary label presses, including machines with Anilox inking. They accept foil stampable UV lacquers and hence are suitable for all types of foil stamping. To compliment this series we now offer Nevada Classicure Basic spot colours in the same LA formulation.
They are suitable for printing the non-contact side of food packaging where there is a suitable migration barrier between the printed package/label and the food.
However, it must be remembered that the final measurement of migration compliance is the responsibility of the printer in line with recognised converters’ good manufacturing practices.

NEVADA CLASSICURE BASIC COLOUR RANGE (CMS)
Our unique waterless offset UV curing formulation is now available in a Basic Colour Range. New stabilising compounds enable us to use pigments that were previously unsuitable in UV curing inks. Although this provides the means to match far more accurately to the industry standard, certain colours may not be to the approved colour strength. This has always been the case with UV curing inks.
The formulation and press performance of our Basic Colour Range inks is similar to our Nevada Classicure LA process colours.

NEVADA CLASSICURE EXTRA DENSE BLACK
Nevada Classicure Extra Dense Black PN9008
Providing sufficient lamp power is available this black will give absolute maximum density. It is based on our Nevada LA formulation so is suitable for use with foil stampable UV lacquers.
OPAQUE WHITE
Three types of Opaque White are available. Nevada Classicure WF Opaque White should be used where foil blocking is to be applied, or for subsequent application of bar codes after interdeck curing. Sahara Classicure Opaque White is not suitable for foil blocking. The Sahara White has the best scratch resistance. Both products have similar whiteness and maximum opacity. Classicure Dry Offset Opaque White is specially for backing lenticular work etc.all over from a dry plate, stripped blanket, or relief plate. It is not a waterless product.
